First to the flamers complaining about my photos. I'm posting these out of sheer boredom, that's what my site is all about. Don't even bother complaining, It won't help anything. I'm bored, but not bored enough to spend hundreds of dollars on camera equipment or spend hours in photoshop tweaking snapshots. Alright, here goes my A-kon 14 report. I did so much, so don't expect me to remember everything. *thinks* uhmm, okay. I got there a little after 12pm on Friday. I had heavy bags, and no clue where the room I was staying in was. So, anyhow I called my friend who was still 3 hours away from getting there and he told me who we were staying with. So I have the hotel operator connect me to the guy we were staying with, which was the guy that brought the DDR machines, and he said we were in room 2328. So I go up there, knock on the door. no answer. I had two different people let me in their rooms to use their phones to call the room, no answers. so, I call the hotel operator again and ask if he was staying in room 2328, and she says no... So, I ask her to connect me, since they won't give me the room number. no answer, but I get a answering service thing. I leave a message for him to meet me. I wait a while. About two hours after I arrived, I decided to just go look for him in the DDR room. finally find him and I put my bags up in the room. Okay, things starting to get a little hazy, let me check my photo capture timestamps for reference... Looks like I finally got downstairs and started taking pictures at 3:43pm. wondered around the halls, blew money in the dealer's rooms... Managed to play some DDR in the arcade room, man I sucked. the platform was a lot different than my home mat or the arcade at my local mall. went back up to my hotel room and uploaded two photos to my temporary gallery around 8, took a while to upload. and there was someone trying to sleep. I hung around until 9 something then went down to check out the J-Rock concert. Went in and out a little during Camino and Duel Jewel's concert. my camera's not too good at dark, I was mostly getting pictures of people's hands, heads, and cameras. I gave up on that and went over to the DDR room, then wondered the halls some more taking more photos. finally up to the hotel room again and uploaded more photos while watching the concert on A-kon TV. Set my alarm for 8am and went to bed around 3 am or so. Saturday: Slept through my alarm, and everone else's until 9am. Took a shower, did my cheap $8 Sagara costume, and headed to Iron Cosplay. I got there a few minutes late, they shouldn't have put it in the back of a dealer's room... Anyhow, it was funny. but I got a message from the girl I was meeting up with during the second round so I took off to meet her (Kristy). I called her back and got the room number, then headed up. I hung around there a while, talking, watching A-kon TV... We finally got bored of sitting around and three of us (Kristy, Doug, and I) head downstairs to the dealer's rooms. and we walked around randomly. Doug wondered off somewhere, and Kristy and I decide to go up to my room to get the CDs I burned for her. I was tired of having hair in my face and stuff on my jaw, so I peeled the scar off, and combed my hair back. We sat around up there a long time, drinking Ramune, munching on my friend's friend's melon mochi, probably watched A-kon TV again... Kristy had to leave at 3pm, so we headed back to the dealer's rooms to find cat ears. We wondered around who knows how long until we spotted a sword dealer that had some. So, she got a leopard kit (ears, tail, bowtie) and a small sword. She had to go, so I gave her a Glomp for the road then headed back to my room to upload the photos and laze around. Went back down around 7pm to catch photos of people going in and out of the cosplay contest. got bored, walked around a while, then went back to the room, watched TV, organized my bags, then slept. Sunday: Woke up at 10am, showered, watched the Grovel Cam on A-kon TV, then took my bags downstairs and checked them in with the bellhops since checkout was at 12, and my flight wasn't boarding until 5:30 Took more photos, bought more stuff, had a sketch done by John Barrett, checked out the webcomics panel, bought more stuff, wondered around more, took more photos... watched Kyo Kara Ore Wa!, did more of the same stuff, then left around 3:30pm.
